community managers

Every Gay Social event across New Jersey has a Community Manager. They're an LGBTQ+ volunteer from your county who kept showing up and decided to make it a little easier for the next person to do the same. They remember what it felt like to walk into a room full of strangers for the first time, and they wanted your experience to be better than figuring it out alone.

always someone in the room

Community Managers circulate, make introductions, and keep the energy moving. They know the regulars, they notice the new faces, and they make sure the two end up talking. They're the reason a room full of strangers starts to feel like a community by the end of the night.

in every county, at every event

Gay Social runs more than 100 LGBTQ+ events a year across New Jersey. Each county has a designated Community Manager who shows up consistently, month after month. They know their events, they know their regulars, and they're there specifically to make sure you leave knowing people too. Whether you're at a coffee social in Flemington or a pub night in Hoboken, there's always a familiar face in the room.

meet our community managers

Get to know the people behind the program. Each Community Manager brings something different to their county, but they all showed up for the same reason: they wanted to build something worth being part of.

become a community manager

We're growing across New Jersey and looking for Community Managers in counties across the state. If you've been coming to Gay Social events and find yourself making introductions anyway, this is just making it official. It's a volunteer role built for people who show up consistently and care about the people around them.
